Save Yasuni Plan Revealed

•June 3, 2010 • Leave a Comment

Dear friends for the Yasuni cause,

First of all I want to thank you all for your time and effort towards supporting our cause to preserve the Amazon rainforest, its plants, creatures, and its people, Humanity is at risk. By choosing to support “Save the Amazon Rainforest,” you are answering a call to greatness. Many heroes have come before our time, and their unselfishness and dedication will inspire us for years to come by helping the the nations of Waorani, Quichua Zaparo, Andoas, Shwar, Ashuar and all aboriginal people from the Amazonian territories. WE are taking direct action towards Amazon rainforest preservation at its roots, at this time and era, when oil spills destroy pristine forests and clean oceans. As we have experienced in the Gulf of Mexico, there is no organization, corporation, or government that can help in such an effective way as the Amazonian tribes will do to preserve their Amazon forests. They are defending their livelihood, as their future as a race it is at stake. When the nations of the Amazon exercise their rights, hope creates a spark, and things start happening, fueled by knowledge of the law and the support of our counselors. This is the only way to preserve the Amazon and its people for the long-term future. The indigenous nations of the Amazon will do the job but they need your support, and your guidance, the same way as if you would need their guidance if you were lost in the Amazonian jungles.

Long live the Amazon!
A little about me. My name is Fabian Lliguin; I am a Quichua descendant and grew up in the coastal region of Ecuador. My parents are from the Andes and my grandmother spoke Quichua as her first language. As an Indian in Ecuador I always felt racism against my people and me in my homeland. I want to do something so the future will be better for my children and grandchildren, and for my people. In the 90′s I came to El Oriente (in the Ecuadorian Amazon), where I encountered my last name for the first time. It was a revelation. Ever since I wanted to save my people and their homeland, the Amazon. Years later, the TAGAROMENANE ARE IN CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER. Petroleum was found in the undergrounds of Yasuni Park, and clearing, logging and road building has started its exploitation and this beloved park is getting polluted. The time has come! At this time I celebrate to be in touch with you, TOGETHER WE WILL SAVE THE YASUNI PARK, I am an ecoagent and with your help, my plan to save Yasuni is the following:

1- Create a network of 13 million people, targeting the United States population
2- Create awareness to the world about the Amazon and Yasuni Park
3- Awareness of the vitality of its people enhancing the importance of the tribal ancestral land rights and their knowledge in order to preserve the Amazon
4- Once these goals are achieved we will DO A CONCERT FOR THE AMAZON, inviting high caliber performer(s) to sing in a nature surrounded New York landmark location
5- Stream this concert online and make it available to anyone on the planet in exchange for a suggested donation
6- We will use the money raised from the concert to hire lawyers to represent the tribes, with their goal being to demonstrate that the companies are violating the tribes’ ancestral lands under UN law and these companies must leave the Amazonian rain forest. All of this will happen without any involvement by Ecuadorian politicians.

By reading this blog you have become part of the solution!
The name of my project is Save Amazonian Genome. (link to genome content)
Petroleum spills are killing nature and Ecogents needs your help. Pass on this information
please let all you friends know about this especial cause and help the tribes and the world ” Save Amazonian Genome”. (link to Amazonian Genome content)

Thank you,

Genetic Evolution and It’s Impact on Mankind

•May 21, 2010 • Leave a Comment

At the beginning of the 19 century, science made man capable of creating stronger  agricultural production. Genetically modified organisms (GMO’s) became the most magnificent tool for human kind. Bigger crops, bigger fruit, and bigger vegetables were produced by the same plant or tree, doubling and tripling the amount of food and timber. Hunger was slowly becoming resolved, farmers had to work less to produce more, almost doubling their income. GMO’s  helped eradicate hunger and poverty around the world, and Nobel prizes were given away to its creators with fanfare.

What a great genetic discovery! At first, genetics were good….then all of the sudden industrialization came and food became commercialized to the big corporations.

Science continued to work  harder. Vegetables were better-looking, weather and plagues didn’t affect the production any more.  Within years, these lands started to require stronger pesticides and fungicides and natural alterations began happening. The land became addicted to artificial fertilizers, plagues became immune to plague killers, and science once more found the answer; stronger chemicals and stronger machinery.  This  lead to more expensive bills, leaving small farmers  unable to pay such a huge bills.  Land soon became property of large agricultural companies which became the heroes of society. This is how these changes occurred.

Now, crops are no longer “natural.” Pesticides are ruling the earth, genetic mutations are currently happening. Buy an orange in the streets and you will find it less juicy and it has a strange flavor. This is all because they have been affected by all kinds of genetically modified organisms containing the same recipes that have affected cattle corn, soy trees for timber etc.

Many diseases and tumors are believed to be formed by particles remaining from the petrochemicals used to genetically modify our food sources.

Now let’s talk about human latest evolution through GMO’s. Asthma, colds, allergies, infections, headaches, muscle pain and all other  common pains humans want to avoid. Again science came to the rescue, providing  humans with a quick answer on pills.  Antibiotics become the “it” option and humans were able to go on with their lives with less pain.  Soon, humans became dependent on this solutions and pharmaceutical corporations became bigger. Investing in them become a great business, and medicine start popping up everywhere. Users were addicted and humans evolved allowing genetic mutations to occur.

As a result, people are loosing their original genes that fight bacteria.  People are evolving into modern medicine addicts creating an ever-booming pharmaceutical business disregarding the future consequences for the human population.  Health has simply become  a booming business. As of today year 2010,  the scientific predictions are pointing to the future outburst of epidemics, and pandemics such as avian flu or swine flu.  There is no question that in the coming decades, human health is absolutely uncertain.

Join the cause.

America’s Soil and Ocean Attacked by BP’s Oil Catastrophe

•May 14, 2010 • Leave a Comment

It is a shame that all the efforts made by  environmentally conscious groups and socially responsible people were obscured and overshadowed by one accident on the off shore oil platform on April Earth day 2010.

This accident was just waiting to happen. The corporations knew this was inevitable. They knew the risks, they knew the dangers – yet they proceeded to move forward.  They knew of the consequences of an oil spill or flow.  They knew it will damage the earth  and it’s natural resources for over 100 years or 8 generations!

Imagine the grand children of your grand children.  Imagine them fighting for their own health and well-being simply because of corporate greed.  Corporate greed for oil overshadowed any risk of health or fatality aspects, they simply did not care.  And now, here we are – unable to stop millions of gallons of raw oil into the Gulf of Mexico.

As an ECOAGENT I have been present in many oil spills in the Amazon Rainforest, being the big spill/flow the one made by Texaco during the 70th’s.(four times the amount of exxon valdes spill in Alaska) Even to this day, Exxon hasn’t paid a cent and hasn’t admitted any wrong doing.

The indigenous people that live in this area of the Amazon Rainforest are mostly dead (60% percent of indigenous people form the tribes in this area are gone). Those that are still alive there today are suffering from the most horrendous diseases known to man; cancer, leukemia, nervous break downs, genetic malformations, depression etc.  On top of that, they are living in an area that is incapable of producing healthy crops.

During this 16 billion dollar  law suit  from the people of the amazon against the texaco/chevron flow/spill, Pablo Fajardo the lawyer representing the amazonian defense once said, “even if We win the law suit still 16 billion dollars won’t be enough to clean the area”, the same goes for the Exon Valdes spill/flow, now imagine this latest British petroleum spill/flow in the American gulf what kind of tragedies will bring forth against the American people and against the world for 100 yeras or nearly 6 generations to come?
Who will defend us, America needs a hero, the world needs a hero, mother earth needs a hero, where is the hero?….

Well in my opinion the hero is you, the hero is me, the hero is all of us, the citizens of the world need to defend our mother earth. We came from her womb and we will go back to mother earth some day, let your voice be heard, tell you friends, tell you family, and one day the law will change and our economic system will learn to respect mother earth rights and the economic system will learn how produce economic benefits while protecting mother earth and its off springs like plants animals and humans as well

Thank You.

Welcome to Save Yasuni – A mission to save the last Pure Genomes

•May 6, 2010 • 2 Comments

Dear Friends,
Thank you for taking the time to read this blog.  I would like to take a few moments to stress the importance of this pristine piece of land deep within the Amazon Rainforest.
Yasuni Park is located in the Amazonian part of Ecuadorian Amazon and is one of the last truly untouched jungles. It is inhabited by jaguars, tapir, anacondas…..and ancestral tribes.  It is home of the TAGAROMENANE and TAGAERY people, deep in the forest and untouched by “progress”. In these jungles lies an array of ORIGINAL GENETIC material of seeds, plants, animals and humans as well.

Genome for food crops

With progress seeds and food crops have been genetic modified, during this process crops have lost some bacteria fighters genome, becoming easy target for bacteria and fungi to threaten the world’s food supply.
These uncontaminated virgin jungles contain 100′s of thousand plants and trees with original genetic make-up, that in the future could be obtained reproduced and apply to a threatened crop and save it from extinction like the corn crop in the 70′s which almost disappear from the USA, imagine the consequences. This could actually happen in 50 or even 100 years.  You can
read more at http://www.organicconsumers.org/corn/background.cfm

Genome for Humans
Through progress, medicine, cosmetics, food and chemicals in the environment, HUMANS have “evolved” and lost some bacteria fighter genes, and has become easy target for bacteria such as swine flu, avian flu and all kinds of fever and allergies. these flu’s are predicted to show up more often in the future in 50 or even 100 years?

Inside the Yasuni park lives a human group that is exposed to the bacteria and the hardship of the jungle, this human group has an anti bacterial genetic make-up, that in the future could be obtained reproduced and apply to help man protect against a predicted rampant influenza.

Today I am inviting you to be part of our Network.
Ecoagents needs you help to create awareness and let all your friends and colleagues know that their help is need for the survival of Yasuni. We need 13’000.000 people in our  foundation in order to voice the need to  save the Yasuni Park

The past and the future of mankind lives in the forest
NEXT POST I WILL REVEAL OUR PLAN TO SAVE YASUNI ……
