Dear friends for the Yasuni cause,

First of all I want to thank you all for your time and effort towards supporting our cause to preserve the Amazon rainforest, its plants, creatures, and its people, Humanity is at risk. By choosing to support “Save the Amazon Rainforest,” you are answering a call to greatness. Many heroes have come before our time, and their unselfishness and dedication will inspire us for years to come by helping the the nations of Waorani, Quichua Zaparo, Andoas, Shwar, Ashuar and all aboriginal people from the Amazonian territories. WE are taking direct action towards Amazon rainforest preservation at its roots, at this time and era, when oil spills destroy pristine forests and clean oceans. As we have experienced in the Gulf of Mexico, there is no organization, corporation, or government that can help in such an effective way as the Amazonian tribes will do to preserve their Amazon forests. They are defending their livelihood, as their future as a race it is at stake. When the nations of the Amazon exercise their rights, hope creates a spark, and things start happening, fueled by knowledge of the law and the support of our counselors. This is the only way to preserve the Amazon and its people for the long-term future. The indigenous nations of the Amazon will do the job but they need your support, and your guidance, the same way as if you would need their guidance if you were lost in the Amazonian jungles.
Long live the Amazon!
A little about me. My name is Fabian Lliguin; I am a Quichua descendant and grew up in the coastal region of Ecuador. My parents are from the Andes and my grandmother spoke Quichua as her first language. As an Indian in Ecuador I always felt racism against my people and me in my homeland. I want to do something so the future will be better for my children and grandchildren, and for my people. In the 90′s I came to El Oriente (in the Ecuadorian Amazon), where I encountered my last name for the first time. It was a revelation. Ever since I wanted to save my people and their homeland, the Amazon. Years later, the TAGAROMENANE ARE IN CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER. Petroleum was found in the undergrounds of Yasuni Park, and clearing, logging and road building has started its exploitation and this beloved park is getting polluted. The time has come! At this time I celebrate to be in touch with you, TOGETHER WE WILL SAVE THE YASUNI PARK, I am an ecoagent and with your help, my plan to save Yasuni is the following:
1- Create a network of 13 million people, targeting the United States population
2- Create awareness to the world about the Amazon and Yasuni Park
3- Awareness of the vitality of its people enhancing the importance of the tribal ancestral land rights and their knowledge in order to preserve the Amazon
4- Once these goals are achieved we will DO A CONCERT FOR THE AMAZON, inviting high caliber performer(s) to sing in a nature surrounded New York landmark location
5- Stream this concert online and make it available to anyone on the planet in exchange for a suggested donation
6- We will use the money raised from the concert to hire lawyers to represent the tribes, with their goal being to demonstrate that the companies are violating the tribes’ ancestral lands under UN law and these companies must leave the Amazonian rain forest. All of this will happen without any involvement by Ecuadorian politicians.
By reading this blog you have become part of the solution!
